bad brain radio

so i've this friend who's all about john mayer. i don't understand why. i went scavenging for pictures of him and found one in which he has a decent amount of sex appeal, but the moment the boy opens his mouth, he loses all of it. he tries so hard to be the bad boy. he has the dark and brooding thing going on, and the tats, and the musician thing, but he writes incredibly cheesy music and his voice sounds more like something you'd hear on a pop radio station than a rock one. it's like he's trying to be johnny depp or something, and that could never, ever happen. ever.

last week -- or maybe it was the week before -- i came across some blog (and no i can't give you a name, because i've since forgotten it, and don't even remember how i'd come across it to go and find it again) which included a post about how the author appreciated mayer's heartbreak warfare. he was especially fond of the lyric if you want more love, why don't you say so.

so. just so we're clear. i do not like john mayer. i do not like his songs. i do not like it when i get his music in my noggin.

and yet, for the past week, that particular lyric has been in my noggin fairly frequently. it takes turns, of course (thank god), though i can't say the songs with which it shares the spotlight are any better (i did mention i had love story in my head, remember? and there's the script's break even).

of all the songs in all the word, i get that one in my noggin.
