books that made a difference to me

January 27, 2010

so every month, oprah asks a celebrity what books have made a difference. her magazine then gives that celebrity and her favored books a two- to three-page spread in the magazine with pretty pictures and little blurbs.

seeing as how i am a bookseller and a writer and how i've not blogged about books, really, for some time, and because it's a new year and the majority of my posts, unfortunately, have been are the books that matter to me. i'm pretty sure yall know most of'm. but these are the ones that taught me to love literature. i should warn you, some of them are pretty dark and twisty, but would you expect any less from me?

you don't get blurbs, though. bah.
